What is Lymphatic Drainage?

Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle massage technique intended to flush excess lymphatic fluid out of the affected areas, towards the lymph nodes.

The aim of the treatment is to reduce and control swelling, prevent swelling from getting worse, and decrease infections. Standard care is called Complex Decongestive Therapy which consists of:

• Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)
• Compression Therapy
